Respect Circle
A thoughtful adventure where children explore what respect means — for themselves, for others, and for the world around them. Through discussion and creative activities, they discover that respect is at the heart of every strong community.
Larry Says
"You showed respect today — for yourself, for others, and for our world. That's what makes you a true leader. I respect you!"
Adventure Steps
1. Sit in a circle together. Explain: 'Today we're exploring respect — what it means and why it matters.'
2. Pass around a 'talking object' (a stone, a toy, a ball). Only the person holding it speaks.
3. Ask: 'What does respect look like? Sound like? Feel like?' Take turns sharing.
4. Create three circles on paper: 'Respect for Myself', 'Respect for Others', 'Respect for Our World'. In each, write or draw examples.
5. Choose one way to show respect today and do it.
6. Reflect together: 'How did showing respect feel? What did you notice?'
