1Research is separate

Having a Larry account does NOT automatically mean participating in research. Research participation is always separate and optional.

2Potential collaborators

Larry may eventually collaborate with universities, schools, SEND professionals, charities and researchers.

3Assessment requirements

Research involving personal information must undergo:

  • Data-protection assessment
  • Ethical consideration
  • Transparency
  • Data minimisation
  • Lawful-basis assessment
  • Consent arrangements where applicable
  • Security controls

4Anonymisation

Preference should be given to appropriately anonymised information wherever possible.

5Separate consent

Where consent is the basis for research, it is separate from any other consent and can be withdrawn.
