This foundational CPD course introduces teachers to the Larry Confidence Method™ — a research-informed approach to building confidence in every child.
Module 1: Understanding Confidence. What confidence really is (and isn't), the building blocks of self-belief, and why some children are naturally more confident than others.
Module 2: The Power of Praise. How to praise effectively, the difference between process and person praise, and why your words become your child's inner voice.
Module 3: Building Independence. Age-appropriate responsibilities, stepping back without stepping away, and helping children develop capability.
Module 4: Emotional Intelligence. Helping children identify and manage emotions, teaching regulation skills, and modelling emotional health.
Module 5: Resilience and Growth Mindset. Teaching children to bounce back, normalising mistakes, and building a 'yet' culture in your classroom.
Module 6: Creating a Confidence Culture. Putting it all together — building a classroom environment where confidence, kindness and courage are lived values.
Lesson Introduction
Welcome to the Larry Confidence Method™. Over six modules, you'll discover how to transform your classroom into a confidence-building environment where every child believes in themselves.
Main Activity
Each module includes a video lesson (15-20 minutes), downloadable resources, reflection activities and a practical classroom task. You'll implement strategies in real time and reflect on the impact.
