Courage Cape
A creative confidence adventure where children design their very own 'courage cape' — a personal symbol of bravery they can call upon whenever they need a boost of confidence. Inspired by Larry the Lion!
Larry Says
"You made a courage cape! Whenever you wear it — or even just remember it — you can feel your brave heart shining. You can do it! I believe in you!"
Adventure Steps
1. Lay out your cape material. Explain: 'Today you're creating a courage cape — something that reminds you how brave you are.'
2. Ask your child: 'What makes you feel brave? What colours feel strong to you?'
3. Decorate the cape with symbols of courage — stars, hearts, lightning bolts, or your own designs.
4. Write 'I AM BRAVE' or 'YOU CAN DO IT!' on the back.
5. Try the cape on. Practise a power pose: hands on hips, chest proud, big breath.
6. Say together: 'When I wear my cape, I am brave!' Discuss when they might need their cape.
